Tire rotation is important to extend the life of your tires. It consists of taking the front tires and installing them on the rear, and vice versa.
The benefits of tire rotation are:
- More even wear over the full life of the tire;
- Identification of steering or alignment problems, if any;
- Ideal time to check tire pressure.
For example, on a front-wheel-drive vehicle, when cornering, the front tires can round out or develop "notches". Thus, the rotation of tires slows down the development of such wear and increases the life of the tires.
